Etched in Sand selected as St. Petersburg College’s 2015 One College/One Read

Every year St. Petersburg College selects a book for its One College/One Read program. For 2015 St. Petersburg College considered 14 books for One College/One Read. In December of 2014, after months of voting by students, faculty and administrators the college announced that it selected Etched in Sand as the One College/One Read 2015 book.

In preparation for the One College/One Read 2015 Etched in Sand program, St. Petersburg College developed content based webpages to serve as valuable resources for students and faculty.  The site can be viewed here.  In addition to integrating Etched in Sand into its cirriculum, the college is also hosting events based upon the books themes such as a forum on homelessness in Pinellas County, a film festival which includes films that highlight the challenges that foster children face and even several sand sculpture creation workshops.
